KristinatLove is a farmer dating site and country dating site built for rural Americans who are done explaining their lives to strangers. Our mission is simple: give farmers, ranchers, and country-hearted singles a plainspoken place to find lasting love, rooted in the same heritage that built the farms you came home to.
Our Story Started Where Yours Did — On the Land
The idea for a farmer dating site didn’t come from a boardroom. It came from a kitchen table in suburban Ohio, back in 2005, when an agricultural marketing consultant named Jerry Miller sat across from a divorced farm woman who told him plainly that she couldn’t meet anyone. The city guys she matched with online wanted to meet at a coffee shop at nine at night. She had livestock to feed at dawn. That was the end of every conversation.
Jerry heard the same story over and over from his rural clients. “Loneliness is a serious problem,” he wrote at the time, and he launched FarmersOnly — the original farmer dating movement — to do something about it. More than 10 million people have joined farmer-specific platforms since.
KristinatLove was founded in 2026 to carry that torch for a new generation. We’re a small team of rural-raised folks, widowed and remarried farmers, and designers who grew up in small towns. We built this platform because we’ve watched too many good people — our neighbors, our parents, our own cousins — give up on dating because the big city apps simply weren’t made for them.

The average American farmer is now 58 years old, and the number of young adults staying in rural counties has dropped for three decades running. Researcher Shoshanah Inwood put it plainly: attracting a new generation to farming depends not only on the economic viability of crops, but on the social viability of farm life. Farms need profit. They also need partners.

Why We Built KristinatLove
Single farmers face dating obstacles that urban singles rarely think about. The nearest neighbor might be two miles down a gravel road. There’s no office water cooler, no downtown singles’ night, and you likely already know every unmarried person in the nearest small town — and probably what their grandmother thinks of you, too. One Kansas cattleman told Jerry Miller back in 2005 that there were only eleven single people within a thirty-mile radius of his place: nine men and two women, and he’d already met both of the women. That story isn’t an outlier. It’s the default for rural America.
Add small-town gossip, seasonal work schedules, and the sting of being widowed in your sixties after forty-seven years of marriage, and dating locally can start feeling impossible. For a lot of good people, it is.
We built KristinatLove because “city folks just don’t get it” isn’t a slogan. It’s a daily experience for the people we love. A farmer dating site widens the map without asking you to change who you are.
